Magipics has produced a science animation for the Monash Centre for Atomically Thin Materials. This animation is an introduction to FLEET (ARC Centre of Excellence in Future Low-Energy Electronics Technologies). It describes research into new types of transistors in which an electrical current can flow without resistance at room temperature. These novel transistors have the potential for vastly lower energy consumption, thereby transforming the future of information technology. This is of vital importance in today’s world of rapidly increasing demand for computation. [Read more…]

New animation for Imagine Intelligent Materials
MAGIPICS recently produced an animation for Imagine Intelligent Materials, the leading Australian developer of graphene-based coatings for industrial textiles and fibres. The animation shows a geotextile material being sprayed with a Graphene coating. The unique electric conductivity properties of this material (visualized symbolically) offer a convenient means of leak detection. [Read more…]
Hybrid Testing For Earthquake Research
MAGIPICS has created an animation for Swinburne University, illustrating the principle of Hybrid Testing analysis of structural elements in earthquake research. [Read more…]
Animations For The Automotive Industry
A while ago now Magipics produced animations for the automotive research company AutoCRC, illustrating novel technology in automotive design.
This work included animations for:
- A nanocoating procedure for manufacturing plastic mirrors
- A principle for a novel Lithium-Air battery (see still above)
- Creating arrays of Lithium-ion batteries
